About Interfaith Ministry

The Interfaith Seminary was founded in the UK in 1996 by Miranda Holden (now Macpherson) to train open-minded men and women who do not adhere to any particular faith as spiritual advisors. It has since grown to include more than 400 Ministers in the UK alone.

Interfaith Ministers work with individuals to help them find a form of spiritual expression to suit their life and needs. This might be for a wedding, a funeral, a baby-naming or coming-of-age ceremony. Individual spiritual counselling sessions are another way to assist clients to find the next step in their lives or to accompany a client working with deep questions in their life.

Interfaith Ministers accept all and do not seek to replace or give precedence to any existing spiritual tradition, but believe in a golden thread of truth that runs through all faiths. Interfaith Ministers are trained to leave personal prejudices aside, to see each human being as he or she is, and to respect each individual path towards meaning and acceptance.
